Marlene Torres passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 39. Tough on the outside but with a heart of gold Marlene was a daughter, mother to 17 year old Abram Almaraz and wife to Tarsicio Almaraz and a sister and Aunt. She dedicated her life to helping her family but most of all her extended family (friends) to live the dream she lived. She loved coaching soccer mostly the kids. She loved her Aztec culture and with that dancing but especially crafting her own designs and dreaming of her own coffee shop. She wanted to help others like herself that can achieve the goals she was achieving. Marlene would never let you see her struggle let alone watch anyone she loves struggle. She was caring, but her SMILE lit the room up like no other. She will be missed and loved but her legacy will live on. Marlene was a Fighter and would want us to go on remembering her as she was and to keep living our dreams because nothing can stop you. She leaves a legacy of love and deep strength and generosity. We love you always Marlene A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10th from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Sourek Manor Funeral Home, 5645 W. 35th St, Cicero.
