Lorraine Wagner

Lorraine (née Kustosz) Wagner, age 91, died peacefully in her sleep in La Grange Park, IL on Sunday, October 23, 2022. She was born on November 20, 1930 in Cicero, IL to the late John Kustosz and Lottie (née Wolak) Kustosz. She married her beloved husband of 61 years, the late Arthur Wagner on May 27, 1951. Devoted mother to John (Dawn) Wagner, Karen (David) Klima and Arthur (Kelly) Wagner. Beloved grandmother to Brian (Allison Fagan) Klima, Jill (Tom) Hoge, Kevin (Colleen Walter) Klima, Joseph Wagner, Alex Meyers, Nicole Wagner, and Luke Wagner. Cherished great-grandmother to Riley Klima, Aria Klima, Ian Klima, Braxton Hoge, Madison Hoge and Hailey Hoge. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, the late Florence (née Kustosz) Glosniak (the late Harry Glosniak), the late Genevieve (née Kustosz) Pawlak (the late Edward Pawlak) and dearest grandchildren, the late Bridget Wagner and the late Zachary Wagner. 

Growing up in Cicero, Lorraine was a dedicated parishioner, first at St. Mary of Czestochowa, where she also taught pre-school and worked at St Mary’s Youth Center for several years, and later at Our Lady of Charity. A dedicated colleague, she worked as an administrative assistant in the Dean’s Office of Morton West High School for over 25 years.

Visitation will take place on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 3pm - 8pm at The Sourek Funeral Home, 5645 W. 35th Street, Cicero, IL 60804. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 10am, St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, 3010 S. 48th Ct., Cicero, IL 60804. Entombment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, IL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in Lorraine Wagner’s name to St. Mary of Czestochowa Church or your favorite charity.
