Jose Saavedra

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of José Saavedra, who passed away peacefully at his home on March 9th, 2025 at the age of 54. José was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.

He was Born on July 5th, 1970 in Los Sauces, Guerrero to Natalia Fernandez & Jose Saavedra. Jose was the youngest out of seven siblings. He immigrated to Chicago at the age of seven.

He always had time to listen to you no matter what was going on in his day.Whether it was a quick chat or an all-day meet up, you always felt loved after spending time with Jose.

Jose loved watching movies and cooking. Jose also had a great sense of humour and loved to tell a joke or two, even if they were dad jokes. He was always the life and soul of the party.

Jose is survived by his mother, daughter Jasmine, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

As we bid farewell to Jose let us remember and honor the impact he had on our lives. May the memories we shared bring comfort during this difficult time. He will be greatly missed by all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him and the love he shared will continue to live on in our memories forever.

Visitation Thursday, March 13th from 3 pm to 8 pm. Prayers service starts at 6:00 p.m. At The Sourek Funeral Home, 5645 W. 35th St., Cicero. On Friday, March 14th a service will begin promptly at 10:30 am at the funeral home and process to Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Park, IL. For more information call 708-652-6661.
