Jose Luis Jaimes (most commonly known as "Luis"), age 47, passed away from a car accident on Sunday, June 27, 2021. He was born on November 3, 1973 in Nezahualcoyotl, MX to Salvador and Catalina Jaimes. He was a father, son, soccer coach, fantastic cook and chef, and a loyal friend to many. He opened Chely’s Pizza Spring of 2004 and dedicated 17 years of his life to the restaurant. He loved his family, restaurant, customers, and his community deeply. His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed at Chely's Pizza. We will remember him by his love for people and endless generosity. He helped others without hesitation; even people he didn't know. He enjoyed banda music, seafood, soccer, and having a good time celebrating with friends. Jose Luis Jaimes is survived by his parents, Salvador and Catalina Jaimes; his 2 children, Araceli Jaimes Warners, Andres Jaimes; partner of 25 years, Ruth T. Santillan; son in law, Bill Warners, and many cousins and friends who were family to him. We know it would mean a lot to him for his customers and the community to join us for the visitation and the prayer vigil this Thursday. Visitation is Thursday, July 1, 2021 (3-8pm open to the public) Address: Sourek Funeral Home 5645 W 35th Street, Cicero IL 60804 Right after the visitation is over we are going to walk over with white balloons from Sourek Funeral Home to Chely’s Pizza and have a prayer vigil in front of Chely’s Pizza. The vigil will begin at 8pm. We will gather in the parking lot of the funeral home to begin walking from there and walk on 35th street to Chely’s Pizza. The vigil will end at 9pm. Additionally, we’d like to share my father’s official and only GoFundMe campaign: https://gofund.me/06dcbf47 Thank you to all the people who have sent their condolences and have supported our family during this difficult time.
