Edwin Rafael Calderon Matos

Edwin Rafael Calderon Matos, born in Ciales, Puerto Rico on June 28, 1961 at the age of 60 has has been called upon and gracefully earned his wings unexpectedly on January 16, 2022. Son of the late Manuel Calderon and Gladys Matos. Beloved husband to Maria Calderon of 40 years and father to: Edwin Calderon, Ivan Avila, Dora Calderon, Edwin Jr. Calderon and Jennifer Calderon. Anyone who knew Edwin, knew that he had a way of making the people around him laugh with his well thought-out jokes for every occasion. He left an imprint in everyone with his presence and personality. The life of the party is an understatement! He loved cookouts, singing and dancing as he listened to music while his loved fur babies watched him and participated not to leave him dancing alone. Though Edwin at times was not a man of many emotional outburst, but he defiantly loved his family and friends. He would want his life to be celebrated and for everyone to share in the memories of him now and for many years to come. Let this be his last dance in his physical body we share but not the last in our hearts. A visitation for Edwin will be on Tuesday, January 25th from 3 to 8 p.m. at The Sourek Manor Funeral Home, located at 5645 W 35th St, Cicero.
