Daniela Alvarez

Daniela Alvarez was born at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois on September 12th, 2007. She passed away at the age of 15 on July 3rd, 2023 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, Illinois due to an unfortunate tragedy.
Daniela spent her life growing up in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago, attending grade school at Emiliano Zapata Academy and recently completing her freshman year at John Hancock College Preparatory High School. 
Daniela enjoyed using her computer as well as spending her free time with friends, her mother Karina, her brother Jesus Emmanuel, and most importantly with her 2 pet cats.  Daniela started growing a passion for badminton, signing up for classes at her high school for her summer break. She was eager to learn how to drive, always telling her brother to teach her how to not crash like he did. Oh and she never called her brother by his name, she came up with the amazing nickname of “Brother”. 
Brother and her had a great relationship, spending most of their time listening to music and singing along. Both of them would constantly leave the house with no plan, wondering what to do as they hit the road. Whether it was going to the mall, grabbing fast food together, going to the arcade, or heading downtown. If there was music playing in the car both of them would be having fun no matter what.
She loved her mother constantly joking about what happened at school, venting about her homework and navigating boy issues. Mom and Daniela would always have an inside joke about anything, she grew to appreciate her mother letting her be who she was. Her mother’s guidance through tough times helped her make sure she was always focused on school to make her mom proud.

Survivors include her brother: Jesus Emmanuel Alvarez
