Anthony James Fico, of Cicero, passed away on October 7, 2022 at Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital at the age of 76. Anthony, known to his friends and family as Tony, was born on June 13, 1946 and lived most of his life in Cicero, Illinois. Tony was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He spent most of his professional career working as a paralegal for several law firms. He never officially retired. Tony loved Classical music and was an accomplished lyricist as well. He had copyrighted paraphrased lyrics to Braham’s Opus 64 and Mozart’s “Dans Un Bois Solitaire” which he retitled, “Cupid’s Arrow”. Cupid’s Arrow is Tony’s true legacy which he finished shortly before his passing and may be heard on Youtube. Tony enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He always made his friends feel like family and kept family closest to his heart. His best friend was his mother, Rose Fico. He was always a guy that you could count on. No matter what, Tony was always ready to lend a hand when needed, an ear when you had to blow off steam or a shoulder to cry on in times such as these. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Anthony R. Fico. He is survived by his loving mother, Rose Fico, his cousins Richard Froio, Gracie (Jeffery) Froio, Raymond (Geraldine) Froio and Diane Froio-Cospanzo. He also leaves behind many friends and family members. The visitation for Anthony will be on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 3 to 8 p.m. On Saturday, October 15th a funeral mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady Of The Mount Church 2400 S. 61st Ave. in Cicero.
